Accessories That Unlock More Jobs

Compare the core sizing and configuration differences across the Fusion Pro lineup.

Rotary Attachments

3-Jaw Chuck Rotary

Precise setup for cylindrical and odd-shaped parts that need more controlled alignment.

Rim-Style Rotary

Ideal for bottles, tumblers, glassware, flashlights, and other cylindrical items.

Cutting & Tables

Task Plate

Flattest surface for consistent engraving across large areas. Included on the Pro 48 and optional on select Pro 24 and 36 configurations.

Vector Grid Table

General-purpose cutting table that helps reduce backside marking while still supporting smaller material stock.

Slat Table

Fusion Pro Questions We Hear Most

Straight answers on production fit, sizing, materials, setup, maintenance, and software workflow.

Is Fusion Pro the right choice for high-volume production?
For many production-focused shops, yes. The Fusion Pro line is built for higher throughput with up to 165 IPS engraving speed, 5G acceleration, industrial motion components, and larger work areas that support batching and oversized jobs. It is the better fit when speed, uptime, and workflow efficiency matter more than entry-level price.
What’s the difference between Fusion Pro and smaller systems like Fusion Edge or Maker?
Fusion Pro is Epilog’s industrial tier, with faster engraving speeds, larger work areas, more wattage options, and dual-source configurations for broader production use. Fusion Edge is a business-class step below with smaller footprints and lower top speeds, while Fusion Maker is positioned more as a starter system for lighter-duty work, prototyping, and budget-conscious shops.
Do I need dual-source, or is CO2 enough?
CO2 is enough for many shops focused on wood, acrylic, glass, laminates, textiles, rubber, and coated metals. Dual-source makes sense when you also need direct marking on bare metals such as stainless, titanium, or aluminum, or when you want one machine to cover both non-metal production and metal marking jobs.
What are the electrical and exhaust requirements for each model?
Exhaust is mandatory on every Fusion Pro system. Pro 24 and Pro 36 typically require 350–400 CFM for external exhaust, while Pro 48 requires 735 CFM and uses three 4-inch exhaust ports. Electrical requirements vary by configuration, power package, and region, so the safest approach is to confirm the exact model before installation. NW Lasers can help review shop power, exhaust routing, and filtration options before delivery.
What maintenance does Fusion Pro need?
Routine maintenance is straightforward but important. Typical tasks include cleaning optics, removing debris from the cutting area and interior workspace, checking rails and vents, and periodically cleaning the exhaust plenum and exhaust system. Regular cleaning helps maintain cut quality, reduce downtime, and keep airflow and safety performance where they should be.
Which design software works with Fusion Pro?
Fusion Pro works with Epilog’s software workflow, including Laser Dashboard, plus tools such as PrintAPI and Epilog Pulse. In practice, many users design in standard graphics or CAD software and then print or send jobs through the Epilog workflow. CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, and other supported design tools are common depending on your file prep process.
